About OMBA
In the spring of 2015, several interested parents sat around a table at a hockey windup party. The question, "what are we going to do now?" came up, and the answer flourished into what is today known as the Osoyoos Minor Baseball Association.
The Osoyoos Minor Baseball Association (OMBA) is a member of the BC (Minor) Baseball Association (BCBA).
The B.C.M.B.A. offers a structured baseball program for children and young athletes of all skill levels from ages 5 to 17 years. It is affiliated with both the British Columbia Amateur Baseball Association (Baseball B.C.) and the Canadian Federation of Amateur Baseball (Baseball Canada).
Minor baseball in the South Okanagan is represented by the South Okanagan Minor Baseball Association (SOMBA) located in Penticton and the Osoyoos Minor Baseball Association. The OMBA represents players from Osoyoos and Oliver that are interested in playing organized, competitive baseball. Players from outside this area wanting to play for the OMBA will require a release form from the association encompassing the area in which they reside. These residential boundaries are set by the BCBA.
